Welcome to Woman Child - the home to 20somethings who still feel like they’re in their early teens.
About me
Hi, I’m Evie, a 20-year-old writer based in the UK. I still live at home, struggle with friendships, have chronic acne, no sleep schedule and have been known to spend hours at a time doom scrolling on my phone, without even coming up for air. If it weren’t for my female anatomy, i’d be every cliche man child ever depicted. Alas, Womanchild was born.
I am what you could refer to as chronically online. I love film and tv, listen to all sorts of music and podcasts, occasionally read books and adore travelling. I work full time in a retail job that doesn’t quite fulfil me enough to make me feel like I’ve accomplished my dreams, but it pays enough money that I could buy myself a new laptop to do all sorts of writing bits like this! The big dream is to become a comedy writer, or just a writer in general. The idea of one day having an opportunity to write something of my own that I could watch on a tv screen is almost too much to think about. I like being niche, it’s probably where I thrive the most. So no, I haven’t watched Game of Thrones, and I’m not really in the know about Star Wars, but I am obsessed with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, can quote a lot of 2000s SNL and have watched the 2014 film Nightcrawler so many times it could be considered embarrassing. I have a (not so) minor shopping addiction that i cannot seem to kick, a cat who likes to disrupt any writing time i may have, and enough free time to find the perfect screengrab on Pinterest for almost any situation. All adventurous women do.
If you can’t get enough of me on here, I’m also on Twitter, instagram and letterboxd.
About Woman Child
Woman child aims to cover more than what popcrave is posting or what the guys on las culturistas are talking about. As well as reviews, recaps and rundowns, I will be publishing personal essays focusing on things such as relationships, mental health, work and everyday life. occasionally I may post a recipe, or feel my inner beauty influencer come out and recommend a few items. anything can, and will, happen. I thank you for coming on this journey with me.
