Hello children, It’s good to see me, isn’t it? I seem to have neglected this newsletter, not out of choice. more out of exceptional circumstances. all of that is irrelevant now though, as i tell you about some recent purchases, watches, events and releases.

A few new watches since we last spoke…
As I type, I am currently watching the first season of Suits, probably not the most current of shows, but amazing background noise anyway. I have also fallen in love with Amazon Prime’s ‘pop culture Jeopardy’, which is quite literally made for me, I played alongside an episode last night and got almost 90% of the questions correct. maybe you’ll be seeing me in season 2.
In terms of currently airing dramas, I have become invested in both Tracker and Doctor Odyssey, two shows that are both serious and insanely stupid. Doctor Odyssey is a Ryan Murphy show that puts Joshua Jackson in threesomes and has Don Johnson delivering scenes like this, the stupidity is almost expected and part of the charm. Tracker is slightly different, I only pressed play because I was a fan of This Is Us and was interested in another Justin Hartley show. The first season was an entertaining procedural, and season 2 is off-the-wall crazy, with UFOs and witchcraft, it’s like everything Jensen Ackles touches turns… supernatural.
The 2024 answer to Die Hard (Netflix original film ‘Carry On’ starring Taron Egerton, Sofia Carson and the world’s favourite- Jason Bateman, who is not shown on screen for the first 38 minutes) has just been released, and I LOVE it. Terrorism, Airports and running thats’s definitely inspired by Tom Cruise, all scream Christmas to me. As simple and charming as you expect an action thriller to be, maybe swap out Nakatomi Plaza for LAX and watch Carry On this festive weekend.
Wicked has become my whole personality since its release, and at the time of writing, we are only a few hours out from the announcement that part two will be called Wicked: for good. As much as I love for good, I think that Wicked: Part Two would have sufficed. back to part one though, it has fully consumed me. the soundtrack has been on repeat, Jonathan Bailey is all over my For You page and I have been holding space for the whole movie, all these weeks later. I cannot wait till next November. if you need me, look to the Western skies.
In an attempt to mourn Vanderpump rules fairly, I was shocked to discover that Netflix UK only has the first season, is my life a joke to those people?
A New category in the newsletter- My favourite NPR Tiny Desk Concert of the month.
Which obviously goes to the queen herself, Doechii. That’s all I have to say, really. go watch it, as well as her Stephen Colbert performance, and you will never look back. trust me.
Midnight shopping is draining my bank account.
Spoiler alert for newsletters to come but, I recently moved house. Still living with my Mum and her partner, as well as my pet cat. A new room means new decor. I’ve been buying books or my new bookshelf, a new vanity desk. new makeup for the vanity. trinket dishes, trinkets to go inside the trinket dishes. Everything needs to be new, everything needs to be cool. I know I can’t afford it, I don’t need it. but the clock strikes midnight and 2-3 working days later, a package is at my front door. pair that with Christmas shopping? safe to say I’m broke.
A short and sweet newsletter today, but with many more incoming. Lovely to be back with you all again. Have a very happy holidays,
love from woman child. xxx
